New project in Dordrecht

January 2012 The new year is off to a good start! EHA is selected to design the new Montessori Children's Center in the Krispijn quarter of Dordrecht. The new building will house a number of organisations providing primary education, childcare and art education, all using the Montessori method. The center will be open to children aged 0 to 13, five days a week, from 7AM to 7PM. EHA's design vision proposes to create four flexible and open clusters, grouped around a central space with an inviting central kitchen that will provide a homely atmosphere to the entire building. By creating a very compact building there is a maximum space available for gardens and playgrounds. A simple structure anticipates to the tight budget and even more tight planning. Construction is scheduled to start mid 2012, completion one year later.
