Operation MetaForum
November 2011 The realisation of a complex design such as that of MetaForum (Eindhoven University of Technology) obviously requires a great deal of creativity from those who build it. General contractor Hurks did an excellent job at installing the new steel structure and filmed this process. The short film shows the long slender columns being inserted into the existing structure of the W-hall, the transportation and placing of the enormous steel girders, and the installation of the concrete floor slabs. By now the building has almost reached its full height. The actual state of the project (projected completion summer 2012) can be seen on the webcam.
