IMd announced winner

The transformation of a former steel factory into a new office for IMd, designed by Ector Hoogstad Architecten, was announced winner of the BNA Building of the Year contest for the Delta region. The jury calls it "a building that is spot on in every way" that immediately sparks enthousiasm. There's also admiration for the discovery of the existing building's potential and the innovative qualities of the tranformation design. "A building that makes you want to work. Hip yet stylish, well thought through down to the smallest detail and yet relaxed. With only basic materials a great result has been achieved. In short: a building that stands out in many ways and splendidly connects all aspect of the architectural profession." The project will also run for the national finals together with the nominees of the four other regions. The winner will be announced on may 16th in the new Eye film museum in Amsterdam.
