March 2015 New images were made of the new faculty building of Applied Sciences in Delft. They help to review the distinctive colored prints on the glass walls in the atrium with the future users. We asked the various departments to provide us with an typical image which is worked up to an abstracted and distinctive print.
The spacious 30,000sqm faculty building consists of two wings, both around a patio, which come together in an atrium. The atrium has both at the southern and the northern side an entrance to the building. This four-storey central hall is the main interchange and the social center with kiosk, reception desks, benches and study areas. Simple facades ensure optimal transparency, and provide a framework for the widest possible interaction between inside and outside. The green landscape plays a role in the interior, while the technique presents itself to the outside world.
