October 2013 On Wednesday October 30th Carolien Gehrels, alderman city of Amsterdam, Paul Doop, vice chairman board of directors University of Amsterdam and Gerard van Harten, president ‘Regiegroep’/ ’chemistry icon’ will open Matrix VI at Science Park Amsterdam.
Science Park Amsterdam is a joint development, which is being fronted by the University of Amsterdam (UvA), the City of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research. The basic principle is to develop the area into a prestigious centre for scientific education, research and business. In 2011 the construction of Matrix VI started and the building was completed in 2013. Now over a hundred of people are working daily in Matrix VI. The building is for 75% filled with promising and innovative activities.
