Re-opening Lelystad City Hall

The renovation of Lelystad City Hall is completed. The existing building, designed by Jan Hoogstad in 1983, needed a thorough revision. EHA was asked to design its "second life", right down to the completely renewed interior. Installations, roofs and facades have been modified to meet very ambitious sustainability standards. The layout of offices has been changed completely according to the latest trends in workspace design. In order to provide first class service to citizens and local companies, the characteristic central hall was completely rethought to become an accessible and inviting municipal service-center. The official re-opening ceremony was performed by mayor Margreet Horselenberg on June 17th. A complete set of photographs will be posted soon.
On the occasion of the re-opening of Lelystad's Town Hall, this video was presented, in which three "free runners" present a high speed visual tour of the building.
