January 2020 This month the prestigious Japanese architecture magazine A+U has published our bicycle parking project in Utrecht. The project is is included in a selection made by Dutch architecture critic Kirsten Hannema, as part of an overview of Dutch architecture in the last decade. The bicycle parking building, the largest of its kind in the world, is counted among a new series of ‘major projects’which, according to Hannema, represent a large part of the ‘Supernormal’ trend that characterizes the recent Dutch architectural production. It is a nice compliment for a special project that continues to receive a lot of international attention, and not just in the press. The bicycle parking building is visited almost daily by foreign guests, who want to see this “bicycle world wonder” with their own eyes.
