May 2015 The construction of the Center Court on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen can be followed by a webcam. The design aims to achieve a rapid completion of this 20,000m2 large meeting, educational and research center. The planning is challenging. Ector Hoogstad Architecten won the architects selection in the fall of 2013, in April 2014 we finished the final design and construction started in January 2015. Contractor BAM is now working on the underground sports facilities and parking garage. In October 2015, the building is wind and waterproof and follows it's completion in May 2016. This is possible because the building will be fully realized as steel skeleton. The steel frame will be provided with hollow-core slab floors, a wall construction of a timber frame and lightweight siding, all because of a short construction period.
