The Biotech Training Facility teaches international students and professionals about pharmaceutical production and quality using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ector Hoogstad Architecten designed a building that combined complex technology with an architectural appearance marked by simplicity: a large closed volume with a transparent plinth. Through windows, the connecting corridor provides a view into the various clean rooms and laboratories. The building gives a boost to the life science sector at the Leiden Science Park and was a Design & Build collaboration between EHA and Royal BAM Group.
