For the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Ector Hoogstad Architecten designed the new Centre for Chemistry and Technology. This new ChemTech Centre will significantly enhance the capabilities and standing of the OPCW as the global leader in the effort to rid the world of chemical weapons. The ChemTech centre houses three aspects: the Laboratory, the Equipment Store and the training area where OPCW staff members and State Party trainees receive theoretical and hands-on training. The social heart in the centre of the building will play an important role in bringing this international organisation together.
